If you have more then one
computer you can share your DSL or
Cable internet connection however there is equipment you will need to purchase to allow
you to do this. (Note: you cannot share a
56k dial up connection).
First of all you must determine if you are going to share the connection over
WIFI
or a
LAN connection?
- If you are
going to share over a
WIFI connection you will need
to purchase a wireless router.
- If you are going to
share via a wired network or
LAN you will need to purchase a
wired router, hub or switch and Cat5 network cables.
What is a router?
A router is a network component that
attaches to your cable or DSL modem. It allows multiple devices or

Internet connection.

than one network computer or device to be connected to a home or
business network.
