What is a PS/2 port?

The PS/2 port is design for an external mouse. Some laptops have two PS/2 ports so you can connect a keyboard and mouse, but for the most part the onboard PS/2 is for a mouse only. If you wanted to connect both an external mouse and an external keyboard you would need to purchase a USB keyboard.
